This is a great product. I'll admit I was a bit skeptical about these speakers as I'm a sound buff and I like my speakers to be top-notch. I opted for these speakers instead of Philips DSP 75u 5.1 speakers and I'm glad with the choice I've made.
The subwoofer looks great, is pretty sturdy and has two subwoofers coupled into one! Shakes up my room pretty hard. Heavy bass is THE one thing I measure performance of speakers by and boy does this one pass with flying colors!
The remote is pretty handy and you can control all the functionality provided in the speakers via the remote. Haven't used the FM yet so wont comment on that, but the feature of playing music from USB drives and SD cards is pretty cool. There is no distortion in the sound and you actually get full 5.1 channel sound. While playing from your phone, iPod or PC, it supports 2.1 channel playback which it then converts to 5.1 pro-logic channel sound on its own. So no matter which input source you prefer, the result is always crystal clear, bone vibrating, keep-the-neighbors-up awesome sound :) I hook it up to my phone, my PC, sometimes to my Samsung LED TV, and when I feel too lazy, i just plug in my USB drive and it automatically starts playing all the songs. Couldn't have asked for anything better!
The only downside is it is a bit difficult to set up, all thanks to the half a dozen extra wires provided. I've set up lots of sound equipment before and it took me a good 2 hours to figure out how to get this working properly. The instructions are a bit vague and could have been better laid out for the user.
In conclusion, the quality of this speaker set is very good, it does what it is supposed to, and has a great price for a speaker churning out 115RMS power. Intex has been known to build good quality speakers that last for 5 years at the very least. So If you are reading this and wondering if this is worth the money? then the answer is YES!!
