Description

Published in 2013 by Riverhead Books, And the Mountains Echoed is the third novel by the Afghan-American Author Khaled Hosseini.

Synopsis

This Historical Fiction Drama is a deviation from the Author's style of writing and focuses on one main character.

The book is written much like a collection of short stories and each chapter focuses on one lead character and all of these culminate into one at the end adding meaning to the plot. The novel brings out the relationship between a ten-year-old boy, Abdullah and his three-year-old sister, Pari. Their father decides to sell her to a childless couple in Kabul, which is the event that brings all the narratives together. About the Author

Khaled Hosseini was born in Afghanistan but has lived in America from a very young age. He is a doctor and has published two books before And the Mountains Echoed.
