BIOMES - ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES – TROPICAL FORESTS
SYNOPSIS
Biomes have been present long before humans inhabited planet earth. Ever since man became aware of and understood the surroundings, he went into a deep study of the same. The biologists divided the living world into major zones and called it ‘BIOMES’. Each biome is a world in itself having its own distinctive climate, plants and animals along with human beings who have become an integral part of every biome. The entire series of biomes has been covered under twelve topics and each topic is in turn divided into two parts to provide in depth knowledge of each biome.
Tropical Forests grow in an area that are warm twelve months a year and experiences a great amount of rainfall. These forests are filled with tall trees making them dark and humid. Living inside these dark forests are an amazing number of weird and wonderful animals ranging from the flying frogs to the birds of paradise. If you want to know which biome has the most colorful animals on earth then Tropical Forests is the one.
This program takes the viewer on a journey of discovery and understanding of Tropical Forests. It provides a window to look closely at the various aspects of the biome starting from climate of the biome to the future that is in store for it.
This series is not only an endeavor to educate the viewer but also to create awareness about the importance of preserving these biomes in our own small ways before it becomes extinct.
