Synopsis
The protagonist of the book, Greg Heffley is having a difficult summer. He was caught by his brother Rodrick in a rather embarrassing situation and now, he is desperate to keep things secret. On the other hand, their mother finds out that the brothers are always out of cash and she starts a 'Mom Bucks' scheme. While Rodrick spends it all on rock magazines, Greg carefully saves up, but still ends up losing all his money to his brother. Amidst getting grounded by his parents and bullied by his brother, Greg Heffley has a lot on his mind. Does he manage to keep his secret, or does Rodrick ultimately reveals it to others?

Jeff Kinney is born in the year 1971. He is an American cartoonist, game designer, actor, producer and author of several kids' books. He has mastered the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. He is a full time writer and designer of online games. Kinney lives in Plainville, Massachusetts with his wife and two sons, Will and Grant. He owns a local bookstore and cafe with his wife in Plainville.
