Description

Background: The fifth entry in the Hitman game series, Hitman: Absolution is an action and adventure stealth video game published by Square Enix. The game which takes place in the United States revolves mainly around the city of Chicago, Illinois and a fictional town called Hope in South Dakota. This is a popular series of games which is part of the franchise's many successful versions.

Synopsis & Feautures: One among many clones and bred to become super assassins is Agent 47, an elite assassin who works for the International Contract Agency, also part of the association that provides guns for hire. An important feature of the game is the instinct mode which players can use it to their best advantage. It allows the player to predict the movements of the enemy patrol and especially when enemies come in groups it’s even more useful. It also gives players the freedom to plan their attacks and set up a good ambush against the enemy. The events in Hitman: Absolution is what transpired since the time of Blood Money series, the fourth instalment of the game. Agent 47 is ordered by the head of the International Contract Agency, Benjamin Travis to kill 47’s handler Diana Burnwood who has gone rogue. Diana goes on a sabotaging spree, exposing to the outside world the Agency’s data system and the organisation. With a few clues here and there in the game, things come to light why Diana chose to go rogue. Agent 47’s other mission also includes finding and returning Victoria, a teenage girl who is under Diana’s care back to the Agency. What’s interesting is that although Agent 47 manages to hunt down Diana wounding her, he hesitates to kill her due to their long work history. Following his hesitation Diana manages to explain the whole situation to him and hands him a letter that she had written while requesting him to keep Victoria safe, away from the Agency. For a while Agent 47 manages to keep Victoria hidden away from the Agency in an Orphanage. He also discovers that Blake Dexter, the head of Dexter Industries had plans to use Victoria for his own selfish purpose which reveals that Victoria was like him, the next generation of super assassins bred to kill and destroy.
