A. P. J. Abdul Kalam is a successful scientist and the former President of India.

Kalam was born in 1931 in Rameswaram. He studied in Saint Joseph's College in Trichy, and later studied aerospace engineering in Madras. He was an efficient scientist and he joined the Aeronautical Development Establishment of the Defense Research and Development
Organization (DRDO). He has also carried out extensive projects with organisations like NASA and has also won many awards. He also served as the President of the country from 2002 to 2007. Kalam was an efficient administrator and his tenure in the government saw the maximum scientific development in the country.
