Olympus EPL 3 (Lens 14-42mm) (Black) is equipped with a 3.0-inch flip-out widescreen LCD monitor, expanding photographic flexibility. Carrying the six most popular Art Filters plus variations and Art Effect functions, the EPL 3 combines the functionality and image quality of the EP 3 with enhanced ease of use. EPL 3’s incorporates the same advanced technologies used to implement ultrafast AF speed in the EP 3, including the Fast AF System, new 12.3-megapixel High Speed Live MOS Sensor and TruePic VI image processing engine.

The EPL 3 is the first PEN model to incorporate a flip-out LCD monitor in a compact body. With a tilting mechanism capable of varying the orientation by 80 degrees upward or 45 degrees downward, this LCD gives you the freedom to take advantage of a much wider range of shooting, from the high angles useful in crowded environments such as a sports event or rock concert to the low angles helpful when taking pictures of children or pets. The Live Guide interface helps you achieve sophisticated photographic and artistic effects from the moment you hold the camera in your hand. The EPL 3's user interface has been completely redesigned. The font and graphics used in the menus have been enhanced to offer improved visibility and quality. With the newly provided Menu Guide, when a menu item is selected, the camera enters the explanation display mode, popping up an explanation of each menu item whenever it is changed. Other features include full HD movie recording, built-in image stabilization, iAUTO and i-ENHANCE, removable flash, 3D photo shooting, one-push digital teleconverter and new slideshow effects.
