The Sony Ericsson Mini Pro is a high end smartphone with many exciting features. The phone runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) OS and it is powered by a 1 GHz processor. The phone also has Adreno 205 graphics processor.

Design

The Ericsson Mini Pro is a slider phone with a QWERTY keypad. The phone weighs about 136 grams and it is 18 mm thick. The phone has a 3.0-inch screen with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels. The screen can support up to 16 million colours. The screen is made of scratch resistant glass. The capacitive touchscreen helps in easy navigation. The LED backlight in the keypad helps in easy typing even in the dark. The phone has a 3.5 mm audio jack and a micro USB port.

The Sony Ericsson Mini Pro has a 5 MP camera with 8x digital zoom. Supporting features like LED flash, image stabilization, smile detection, face detection, auto focus, and touch focus etc. are available. HD video recording is possible at 720 pixels. A 0.3 MP secondary camera is also available for video calls. The phone comes with a 320 MB internal memory. The external memory can be expanded up to 32 GB with the help of a microSD card. The phone also has 512 MB RAM. The phone battery has talk time over 5 hours in 2G and 3G networks. The standby time of the battery is up to 340 hours.

The Sony Ericsson Mini Pro offers internet connectivity through multiple platforms including GPRS, EDGE, Wi-Fi and 3G. Data transfer with other devices can be achieved through Bluetooth and USB port. There are many preloaded applications available in the phone. You can keep track of your network through the social networking apps and instant messaging apps. Push Mail feature in the phone lets you keep track of your inbox.

The phone offers A-GPS support to keep track of your location. Google Maps is another feature preloaded in the handset. There are also many other features like document viewer, voice memo, predictive text input, stereo FM, music track ID recognition, and 3D gaming etc. available in the handset. Amazing amazing phone indeed. I had a Samasung Galaxy Pro earlier but not happy with it because it used to give me a headache (for some reason) over long calls. So I used the headphones.
This one (Sony Xperia Mino Pro) is an amazing phone. People say that battery life is short but I didnt find it short. It was good enough (and much better than my previous phone). Its super fast (as they say in one of the reviews - its pocket mein rocket! :-)
very good interface and great slide keyboard. I love this phone - Finally a smartphone that I can use to its truly potential.

Please do not buy any Sony Phone

Phone was Ok, problem was about backlit display. Phone display conked off in 1 year 3 months. As per Sony service center, there is no change of display panel possible and they ask you to shell out Rs. 7,000 for a change of display. Sony service is the most horrible one. There is just one service center in Mumbai and the people are arrogant. Even to look at the handpiece, they charge Rs. 280. There are far better options such as Samsung which has numerous service centers.
