'XPERIA M' is way better than Core. Xperia M has much powerfull processor & gpu than Core so the performance is always better in M. M plays HD videos while Core cannot do this. Camera of M produces good vibrant and sharper images than Core. Xperia M has sharper screen than Core .UI of Xperia M is smooth and breezy while Core lags many a times. Internet speed is HSPA+ in XPERIA M which is 21mbps while laggard & slow Core has 7mbps speed. Core cannot play HD videos while Xperia M does it very well. Gaming in Core is average & 3D games forget about it, it is worst. XPERIA M plays plenty of HD GAMES, 3D GAMES & what not becoz it has powerfull Adreno 305 GPU. Xperia M looks stylish, beautifull & sturdy while Core has same old looks of its older siblings. Xperia M is what a better a phone can be in its segment. So better know more about 'Xperia M'.
The 10,000 - 23,000 range has always been SONY's stronghold and the XPERIA-M seems to be Competition killer.
If you think that Micromax and XOLO give better configs for the price, SONY is here to prove you wrong:
Here is a step-by-step analysis of the Xperia M:
(The review is comparison based with contenders :
Xolo Play , Canvas A116, Galaxy Core, Galaxy Core )
I am not mentioning anything about Micromax A116 or GALAXY CORE because these 2 phones are completely over-shadowed by phones I am mentioning here.
Indian brands : XOLO play >>>>>>>Micromax A116
Foreign brands: Xperia M >>>>>>> Galaxy Core
LOOKS / HANDLING :
Xperia M is most certainly beautiful, and the best looking entry level device in my opinion. The 4-inch screen means it is extremely comfortable to use and is very light.
Xolo Play comes last in looks as having larger screen,Heavier and thicker body causing difficult handling.
Galaxy Core is very light and thin, and is at par (or a little better) than Xperia-M in looks, but it's material doesn't really feel premium.
Xperia M has high enough PPI (245) and display looks crisp with natural vivid colors.
Viewing angles are a bit off, but nothing that you would particularly notice.
XOLO T1000: has a MUCH BETTER DISPLAY than Xperia M in all aspects.
IPS LCD 720-p is a real winner.
Galaxy Core is a mixed bag...While having nearly the same 245 PPI , a pentile matrix causes it to be (a little) less crisp, but AMOLED makes colors very vibrant,(often too much, causing it to look unreal)
Xperia M has the best performance for an entry level device ever given by a foreign brand. It is snappy, runs all games flawlessly and movies run really well.
XOLO Play and the P1 give similar performances, each giving superb performance for price results.
1GB Ram ensures Muti-tasking is smooth.
Here are the bench marks
Phone......General speed..............................Gaming........Net Speed
As you see most scores are very close, and there is no clear winner.
(these scores CRUSH scores of Galaxy core and HD 116)
USER INTERFACE /SOFTWARE:
XPERIA M and GALAXY CORE crush the XOLO PLAY in this department.
SONY wins overall with jelly-bean(android 4.1.2), smooth UI with superb features like Mini-apps while keeping true to Vanilla JB.
GALAXY CORE has an awesome UI that is VERY DIFFERENT and also allows switching to stock if u dislike it...P1 is however launched with Android 4.0, but updates to jellbean are available.
XOLO PLAY has a very (surprisingly) sluggish UI and this is what ruins probably a great package....UI can however be changed with Launcher apps and ROOTING.
Note: Galaxy Core has a pathetic keyboard, be sure to replace it with another app (SWIFTKEY).
Xperia M and the Galaxy Core are LOUD, and I mean really loud.
Great music speakers and In ear audio quality make them both great mobiles for audiophiles.
Xolo has average volume, in ear quality is average too.
Here is how it is
Galaxy Core >>> Xperia M= Xolo Play
Galaxy Core takes magnificent photos and Great videos while Xolo and Xperia M are simple average in this department.
Xperia M is definitely not a Camera-phile's phones.
Customer service and reliability:
Xperia M takes the cake here. The Foreign Brand offer good service and Phones have a much better expected Life time
Huawei and XOLO have below-average support in India.
Note: Huawei is actually a very BIG COMPANY (A brand with value), that actually sold more phones than SONY,LG and HTC in 2012. However, most of it's sales occur only in china.
CONCLUSION / WRAP-UP:
If Known brands' mobiles are your only option, Xperia M kills all small fries of HTC,LG and Samsung. It Delivers excellently everywhere except the Camera.(only average here) while giving EXCEPTIONAL PERFORMANCE.
A GREAT ALL ROUNDER
THUS, IN BRANDED PHONES >>> XPERIA M IS THE BEST
The GALAXY CORE Hold really well as it stands out as a great choice for people looking for a great package with a GREAT CAMERA or a NEW EXPERIENCE. Display is however not as good as the other 2.
XOLO PLAY remains the Spec-Thristy people's ultimate choice. Flaunting a LARGE beautiful screen, a great chipset for 3,000 it is a BUDGET GAMER'S DREAM. It's camera and UI are however Under-whelming.
Finally dual sim arrived
# "small apps" feature is very nice..similar to multiple window..
# battery performance is good. more dan 1 full day after heavy usage (game, music, browsing, etc.)
# 1 gb RAM is just perfect. no lags at all whatsoever
# Notification light effects r just wowww!!!
# If you are not a hardcore gamer and can live with 4gb of internal storage just go for it right now
total VALUR FOR MONEY..what else can u get at dis price.
will surely rock ....go for this......
Sony name is enough for quality of product. Xperia M dual proves its "Sony" in all department except its camera. Camera is not upto the mark. Another factor is you cant install application on SD Card. This is bad part of this mobile and sony provide only 4 gigs memory out of only 2 gigs is available for end user
Pros : Android 4.2.2 (preinstalled on device)
Nice design and UI
Good 4" screen
Sony music quality
Battery life is good (1 day)
Good wifi reception

Cons : 5 mp camera not produce good result
Only 2GB Internal memory for end user
Memory expansion slot is useful for media only not application and games

4) Good build quality
Phone wouldn't even start. This is my second bad experience with Sony. Guess i will never go back to Sony ever again...
Yet to use it; phone wouldn't turn on....
1.Great UI.. It came pre-loaded with Jelly Bean 4.2.2 not 4.1 as advertised.
2.Dual sim functionality is flawless.
3.Touch quality is awesome.
4.Great response regarding processor and RAM.
5.Battery is Good too.
6.Good overall connectivity (3G, 2G, Wifi, GPS, NFC, Bluetooth etc)
7.Great Sound Quality.
1.Camera Quality.. not what u would expect from 5 MP.. but Satisfactory....
2.only 1.4 GB internal usable memory..
Final verdict: you won't regret buying this phone...
Tnx to SONY
-The handset is good.
-Camera clarity is average (we cannot expect DSLR clarity in 5 MP)
-Screen is awesome!!
-Touch interface is slow when compared to other touchscreen handsets.
-Sound clarity is good in loudspeaker.
- Handset is very light and impressive.
Sony has made some great entry-level Android phones, but it's been a while since we saw a new model. The Xperia M injects new blood into the segment with both single and dual-SIM options. Based on the trademark Xperia design, the M scores high on looks
The Sony Xperia M shares many of the design features that made its Xperia Z sibling such a looker, including the signature power key. It also has a hardware shutter key along with a couple of other features that are becoming quite rare in the smartphone world - a removable battery and a microSD card slot.
The Xperia M also offers a relatively big and sharp screen, 4" FWVGA of 245ppi, and a dual-core Krait processor, plus 720p video capture with its 5MP camera. These are specs that can be hard to find in the Xperia M's price bracket. Most entry-level Androids either have Cortex-A9 CPUs (or A5/A7), or record only VGA video or have sub-WVGA screens, which is why entry-level Windows Phone handsets are such an enticing alternative in the price range.
Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and dual or quad-band HSPA support
Also available in a dual-SIM variant, called Xperia M dual
21 Mbps HSDPA and 5.76 Mbps HSUPA
4" 16M-color TFT capacitive touchscreen of FWVGA resolution (480 x 854 pixels) at 245ppi
Android OS v4.1.2 Jelly Bean
Dual-core 1 GHz Krait CPU, Adreno 305 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8227 Snapdragon chipset
1 GB of RAM
4 GB of built-in storage (2 GB user available)
microSD slot (cards up to 32GB supported)
5 MP autofocus camera, single LED flashlight, geo-tagging, touch focus, HDR, hardware shutter key; VGA front-facing camera
720p @ 30fps video capture
Wi-Fi a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot
Bluetooth 4.0 with A2DP
ANT+ support for connecting low-power wireless sports accessories
GPS with A-GPS; GLONASS
Accelerometer, ambient light and proximity sensor
Standard 3.5 mm audio jack; Walkman music player with many audio enhancements
Stereo FM radio with RDS
microUSB port (charging)
Built-in LED strip provides a breathing light and notification light
1,750mAh Li-Ion battery, user-replaceable
Still and video camera quality not great
No Mobile BRAVIA engine for the screen
Screen has sub-par viewing angles
Poor video codec support out of the box
Limited internal storage for installing apps
Sony may have hit a spot that Samsung, LG and HTC haven't thoroughly covered, which bodes well for the young Xperia M. The optional dual-SIM is great too, since a good smartphone with a second SIM slot can prove harder to find than you would expect (with screen, camera and chipset considerations in mind).
The Sony Xperia M runs Android 4.1 with Sony's magic sprinkled over many of the apps, including a Walkman music player with a dazzling array of sound enhancement options, plus the Album and Movies apps, which have some unique media management skills.
The bold Purple and Yellow colors are a plus too, with an excellent, soft touch plastic on the back - a welcome break from black-or-white options and the prevailing glossy plastics. Hop over to the next page to see what's behind that back cover, as well as whether the screen and camera live up to the expectations and more.
this is good to have sony dual moblie at this rate but need to add more internal storage. finally its paisa wasool mobile. thanks to snap deal
it's useful to me and I will be satisfied to purchase the Sony xeper m the duel sim is more useful to me

Excellent product from Sony. Best audio, best video, excellent signal reception, average camera and dual sim below 15K! Sony is a all time best brand and no one can compete with them.
Had a very good shopping experience with Snapdeal.. Will recommend to others too....
pros:nice phone ...nice UI....light weight....nice feel on touching it.
con:camera not fit for low light...lots of pre loaded apps
overall a good phone from sony
Looks very good. And built quality is also good. Only problem is 4GB internal memory out of which 2GB is available. Cant install too many apps and games.
