The Telstar design is inspired by this era, though it was etched out in reality in the 1990's by none other than Edward Craven Walker, the inventor of the original lava lamp.Each Telstar leg is hand polished with zinc and made in cast individually supervised and trial tested to ensure that a Mathmos Telstar Lava Lamp is a flawless recreation of space that you invest in with your pride almost at stake.
