The Toshiba 40PB20 is a 40 inch LCD TV with 1920 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and a Dynamic Contrast Ratio of 50000:1.It is powered by Power Meta Brain Video Engine which not only houses the technologies which perfectly answer the 5 core visual aspects of display goals: Real, Clean, Clear, Smooth and Original but also encompasses the 10-Bit Video Processing technology to create 1 billion colors and smoother gradation. It is packed in with 20W Audio Output, Comb Filter. With such varied features get ready for an all new viewing experience.

More than just a design style, you can even touch the design! The latest PB20 and PB2 series come with dot textures on its cabinet to add on to the style and personality. At the same time, the Dots Design makes cabinet scratches less noticeable during cleaning.

With a weak signal reception, even the best LCD TV cannot maximize its performance. Toshiba's built-in Auto Signal Booster improves the sensitivity to weak radio frequency (RF) signal. Image becomes clearer when the RF signal is strengthened during weak signal reception.

AutoView is Toshiba's most advanced solution for achieving the best possible picture quality at all times.

It monitors room brightness and automatically adjusts the backlight and various picture parameters accordingly. It also continually analyses the image (light and dark pixels), adjusting to maintain maximum contrast.

The ZV600 Series takes AutoView another step further, by allowing manual adjustment of backlight, colour temperature and dynamic contrast.

Most TVs have a colour adjustment knob, but REGZA LCD TVs go much further, enabling you to adjust hue, saturation and colour brightness for each of the six basic colours separately. You can perfectly adjust skin colour or grass colour, for example, without affecting the other colours.

Toshiba provides a unique solution with the combination of Auto Signal Booster and Auto Clean to provide clear images despite presence of weak and noisy signals.Auto Signal Booster improves the sensitivity to weak RF signal in poor reception areas. Image becomes clearer when the RF signal is strengthened.

Image clarity goes a step further with Auto Clean which evaluates blocks of five by three pixels against eight reference patterns to remove random noise components from the amplified RF signal. Textures and edges in the output signal are sharpened after a series of pixel analysis in the Auto Clean process, resulting in cleaner and smoother image.u

Precise adjustment of the backlight behind the pixel array is necessary to obtain optimum picture quality. In REGZA LCD TVs, the brightness of the backlight is automatically adjusted according to a sophisticated histogram analysis of the brightness and location of dark portions in each scene. Deeper blacks in dark scenes (where dark portions cover most of the screen) are reproduced by reducing the intensity of the backlight, resulting in greatly improved contrast.
