Program's Impact

Last year, Snapdeal facilitated contributions for 250,000+ stationery kits distributed to NGOs across the country. From Ladakh to Chennai, from Mumbai to Manipur, kids at NGOs appreciated the support and found stationery helpful. Here're some pictures received from last year's program

Partner NGOs

  • Aarti for girls is an NGO, striving to empower women, girl children and create awareness in the community. We believe that education is the most powerful tool to create a change. Aarti for Girls runs a school for 320 under privileged children in Kadapa. They have very little exposure as they never get a chance to go out from their community. Books will bring the world closer to them. Help them see the world through the eyes of books.
  • Foundation for Initiatives in Development and Education for All (IDEA) is a NGO with initiatives focused on the development of underprivileged children , youth and women . IDEA , conceptualized by a team of qualified and experienced social scientists and social workers, deal with the problems in education and developmental issues of the marginalized people, realizing the need for adopting a holistic approach to minimize school dropout.
  • IIMPACT is a nonprofit established by Alumni of IIM-Ahmedabad that provides free primary education to girls aged 6 to 14 in the most socially and economically backward rural areas of India. We are currently providing free education to over 60,000 girls in over 1500 learning centres across 11 States. IIMPACT reflects the desire to make a positive impact primarily through the IIM linkages of the founding members. We have a single minded focus on working towards educating & changing the lives of young girls in the remotest of rural areas in India.
  • 17000 ft Foundation is a Not for profit setup to improve lives of people settled in very remote mountainous hamlets, in areas that are inaccessible and isolated due to reasons of harsh mountainous terrain. 17000 ft has its roots in high altitude Ladakh, a desolate cold desert in the Himalayan mountainous state of Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated in altitudes upwards of 9300 ft, with temperatures dropping to -40 degree Celsius and hundreds of tiny, scattered remote villages.
  • Bhumi is one of India�s largest youth volunteer non-profit volunteer organisations enabling thousands across India to volunteer for education of under-privileged children and civic issues. Bhumi as a platform will enable over 12,000 volunteers in more than 12 cities across India contribute for causes like education, environment, animals and community welfare.
  • Guzarish is a social mutual fund where we raise contributions from individuals and invest in projects to maximize social impact for our investors. Guzarish�s flagship project �Books For All� � created by our team � focuses on building the reading habit for children in an assisted learning environment. Currently running in its second year, Books For All project has been performing well.

Through this two-part theory of change, Teach For India seeks to engage everyone in the fight for an excellent education for all.
  • Turnstone Global is a not for profit National level social enterprise working with relentless effort for overall improvement of human lives irrespective of age, gender, religious beliefs, cast, ethnic, origin, birth place or disability status. One of our main focus is educating children under the project [child labor to school] where Turnstone, teaches them basic education, life skill, develop the habit of reading and finally send them to mainstream school but they remain with us in our non-formal school for monitoring their development. So forth we have more then 2000 children in our role.
  • Vimukti Sanstha, runs a school-Vimukti Girls School in Jaipur for poor girls from the slums. Vimukti started in 2004 with 30 girls and currently has 575 girls upto class X. We provide completely free education to the girls-we don't charge any fee and we provide free books /uniforms /stationery /light meals and subsidized transportation. The girls belong to socially and economically weaker sections of the society. Around 95% of the girls are from socially backward classes/minority sections and their family income is not more than Rs 100,000 annually.
  • IDF�s journey began in 2004 with a group of dedicated and concerned individuals coming together and wanting to make a difference in the lives of those less privileged than themselves. It was established as an NGO in 2005 and since then has delivered an impressive track record of implementing long-lasting community intervention strategies.IDF passionately believes in the power of education to empower the disadvantaged, break down barriers and challenge social taboos.
  • PYDS is a registered Society located in the foothills of Himalayas, India. To fight the backwardness of the community that they serve, it has embarked upon a journey of transforming underprivileged children through a nationally affiliated School, PYDS learning Academy. It provides value based learning, holistic education, wholesome nourishment, medical support, hostel facilities to senior students, digital learning aids and exposure. Everything is provided free of cost. The effort is currently helping about 510 economically disadvantaged students, particularly girls. It has brought hope to communities, salvaged potential anti-socials and created possible change makers.
  • Goonj is an 18 years old award winning social enterprise working across India. Founded by Anshu Gupta in 1999, with a mission to highlight clothing as an ignored basic need of many. Under his leadership, Goonj is turning the menace of growing urban waste into a tool to trigger large scale rural development work. It's �School to School �initiative focuses on filling up the critical gaps in education by reaching the under-utilised school material (like stationery, bags, water bottles, lunch boxes, uniforms, and books) in far-flung village/slum schools.   • Miitti is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO), started by the students of Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay in May, 2014. This student initiative is to target four issues concerning the tribal villages in remote interiors of Rajasthan, India. These are Education, Agriculture, and Employment. Miitti organizes annual summer camps for educational purposes through multiple events like career counseling workshops, art and craft activities, academic lectures etc.

How does this campaign run?

Users come online on Snapdeal and order stationery kits. Orders are then collated at local warehouse - K 10 Enterprises, Thane and then dispatched to respective NGOs. Finally, contributed stationery kits are received by NGOs and distributed among underprivileged kids to support their education.

Which NGOs would receive the stationery kits that I will contribute?

The stationery kits will be delivered to multiple NGOs across India as per their requirements. You could view the NGOs list in the 'Partner NGOs' section on the campaign page.

When will NGOs receive books contributed by me?

The stationery kits are collated in approximately one week and are delivered to NGO partners within around two weeks of you placing the order.

Can I claim tax exemption through these donations?

As per Government rules, product donations are not covered under tax exemptions.

How many stationery kits can I contribute?

There is no upper limit. Please contribute as much as you want.

How will I get updated about the status of my contribution?
