Synopsis:
This book depicts the story of country: India after Gandhi. The newly independent India was born between shortages and situations of civil war. The caste, class, language and religion were divided on issues. Despite this, the country in the decades has portrayed an image before the world as a unified and democratic nation and has managed to make its presence felt with a bang.
Ramachandra Guha, the author of Bharat Gandhi Ke Baad, has written the story in a very interesting way. He has tried to show reality of strong protests and conflicts, which became independent India's history suggestive. The author has also proven the myth of people totally wrong who predicted India's division or enrollment into bad politics due to its diversity and poverty.
Bharat Gandhi Ke Baad by Ramachandra Guha is the first part of the book. The other part of India: Nehru is published by Penguin-trip. This book presents a panoramic view of the rebirth of India, a leading scholar who wrote at the height of his fame. This book is available in hindi at a very reasonable price
