About The Author ARUN PRATAP SINGH has been working on the conservation of Himalayan butterflies and birds at the Forest Research Institute, Dehradun for the last 12 Years. He had also served in the Himalayan Forest Research Institute, Shimla for prior to FRI. He obtained his Ph.D From FRI University on butterflies where he now also teaches Wildlife Management and Forest Entomology. Recently, he discovered a new species of butterfly form the Grahwal Himalayas, the Garhwal Six Ring. Ypthima Kedarnathensis. He has reviewed project proposals for the committee of Research and Exploration National Geographic Society, USA seeking grants on butterfly research. He has 60 research papers in both national and international journals to his credit.
