Lady, a border collie, was born seemingly normal, but soon started losing weight. The vet discovered that she was paralyzed on her left side and unable to control her head movements. Because she was so young, he did not know if this was a permanent condition and wanted to give her a chance. I took her home, and thus began our strange odyssey.

There are also many references to businesses that provide a wide range of incredible products for our dogs, as well as things to consider from the perspective of an owner of a "normal" dog.
About the Author
Lady and Marilyn Mathis live in rural Colorado. They live close enough to town so that Lady can go to therapy, but far enough away to enjoy nature. Marilyn has the luxury of being able to spend her time as she wishes, so she spends most of it with Lady or reading.
