Exceptional Wireless Technology

The D-Link DES-1016A uses auto-sensing 10/100 Mbps ports, offering a flexible connection for a small workgroup to 10 or 100 Mbps devices in order to establish an integrated network. With the auto MDI/MDIX adjustment feature for all ports, it allows each port to automatically adjust for straight-through or crossover cables to build the right link. With this router, you can efficiently expand your network by connecting more computers or gadgets with maximum speeds of 200 Mbps per port in the full-duplex mode. The switches offer 802.1p QoS priority queues so that users can operate bandwidth-sensitive applications like multimedia and VoIP Internet calling without data flow blockages that end up degrading the overall quality of the network connection. Its network configuration auto-learning capability saves you time.

Advanced Firewall Features

Each port of D-Link DES-1016A contains an 802.3x flow control which prevents data loss by reducing dropped packets when the receiving buffer of that port is full. Thus, a more reliable connection is provided to you for all the connected devices. The store-and-forward switch performs error checks. Store-and-Forward switching proceeds with the forwarding process only after the entire frame has arrived. This ingress buffering of the store-and-forward switch grants flexibility to support a wide mix of Ethernet speeds, starting with 10 Mbps. The SOHO device complies with IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, and IEEE 802.3x standards by creating high-speed Gigabit network which maximises the throughput to ease network planning, increase cost saving and enhance network stability.

D-Link’s Green Technology

The 16-Port 10/100 Switch of D-Link DES-1016A employs D-Link’s Green Technology, which offer energy savings, less heat, and a longer product life with no sacrifice in terms of performance or functionality. An energy-efficient power adapter with Star Topology (EnergyStar Level V qualified), curtails the use of harmful substances (RoHS compliant). The switches reduce power consumption when they are idle or in a low utilization period by entering a low-power state, allowing users to save on costs, too. Further, the switches also conserve energy by automatically adjusting power consumption according to the cable length of the connected devices without affecting the overall performance.
