A Shivaji inpired Teeka, Bindi applying tool known as CHANDRAKOR in Marathi. The tool was made popular by Shivaji, who always wore this type of teeka/Tilak on his forehead. Still a custom for good luck in hard core Maratha house hold, the Teeka has a rich histiry of valour, and makes a Shivaji follower. Maratha stand out in the crowd. The marathi people see the beauty in crescent moon and not only ladies but also the men wore it in the history. Many queens and kings has this on there foreheads. It's a symbol of fourth lunar day. There is a symbolic meaning behind it, Chandrakor is similar to one's mind. The mind changes like the different phases of the Moon. One should overcome from these phases like consciousness, illusion, sound sleep. First three phases of mind are Jagruti, Swapna and Sushupti. The fourth phase of mind is 'Turiya' which is beyond the first three phases. Spiritual phase is the fourth phase of mind. Crescent Moon is the symbol of spiritual fourth phase. One can reach this fourth phase by worshipping Lord Ganesha.
