About the book:
It, from Stephen King, is the author’s nineteenth novel, which is based on horror-suspense theme. The story of this book was adapted for creating a famous the Hollywood horror movie named It. The book weaves a nail-biting story of a group of youngsters, who get trapped in the deadly circle of a child-killing monster. The book is the struggle of the youngsters to free themselves from the foreseen death, strategies they make, actions they take to make their plans work, and the final trial of getting rid of the unexplained entity killing everyone.
A group of youngsters titled themselves as The Losers, after being continuously bullied by a neighbour, Henry. The Losers group plans to fight against the child-killing monster and succeed to hurt the creature to a great extent too. But after dispersing, they realise that they have weakened themselves by not staying together and they no more possess enough power to face the monster who is looking out to kill them one by one.
They plan to strengthen the bond to fight the monster again. The story goes into the past to unleash the mystery of the killings, and comes back to find out how successful The Losers were in fighting the creature once again. By now this murderous creature has started his encounter with each one of them and each person has to not just escape their fear of being killed but also fight back to survive.
How many survive and how many die, who was this creature trying to kill these children, and what was the secret behind this series of revenge happening one after the other make this book a ground-breaking scary plot and an addictive read. Hodder & Stoughton published It in 2011 in paperback.
