Decision making has always been a challenging task. Operations research, as an art and science, has an important role to play in objective decision making in industry, agriculture, business, and many other spheres of engineering and management. This area has equally intrigued the interest of the theoretical strategists and practitioners since its foundations were laid by military teams during WW II.
During the past 60 plus years, a large number of findings and new perspectives have been published, many of which do not meet the specific requirements of the current student community. This book is designed to specifically meet this lacuna. With a large number of illustrations, worked-out examples, and problems coupled with self-assessment questions, the student as well as the teaching faculty will find this book an extremely useful content provider to understand the subject as well as to face the examinations. To make the subject simpler, glossary and flow charts are provided with a very strong emphasis on ‘zero doubt’ understanding of the concepts. This book is a well-organized and comprehensive textbook in true sense.
Simple, comprehensive, and easy to understand
Step-by-step explanation of concepts and solutions
Numerous graded solved problems and sufficient practice problems with hints and answers
Glossary and flow charts for instant reference
A student-friendly presentation
