iA (Intelligent Auto) Plus
Thanks to the Intelligent Auto mode, you do not have to fiddle with the camera settings to get a perfect shot. The iA Plus Mode allows easy adjustment of defocusing area, exposure compensation and white balance.
Panasonic DMC-GF3 is equipped with a touch-screen to facilitate you with easy operation. You can operate the auto focus and shutter release with simply a touch. You can also set ON/OFF of each touch control such as touch shutter and touch AF in the Custom Settings.
Operate the auto focus and shutter release simultaneously. This gives you the ease to capture even fast-action sports shots where the subject is on the move. You can also easily capture decisive moments with optimal framing and settings.

3.0-inch, 460,000-dot High Resolution LCD
The Panasonic DMC-GF3 is fitted with a 3.0-inch 3:2 460,000-dot LCD offering a 100% field of view. The wide-viewing angle allows you to frame the shot in a variety of ways. This Intelligent LCD function automatically adjusts the brightness in 11 steps according to shooting conditions.
Dust Reduction System
The Dust Reduction System in the DMC-GF3 helps prevent dust spots in your shots by placing the Supersonic Wave Filter in front of the Live MOS sensor, between the low-pass filter and shutter. the filter repels dust and other particles effectively by vibrating vertically around 80,000 times per second.
12.1-megapixel Live MOS Sensor
DMC-GF3 features a 4/3-type 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor that offers image quality of a CCD sensor and power consumption of a CMOS sensor. Thanks to an advanced circuit structure, this sensor is advantageous for photo and video recording with its high S/N ratio.
The Venus Engine for the DMC-GF3 adopts anew noise reduction technology for producing even higher quality of image. This ensures stunning clarity for even those images that are shot in low light conditions.
Intelligent Resolution Technology
The Intelligent Resolution technology automatically detects 3 areas – outlines, detailed texture areas and soft gradation areas. The I.R. Technology performs signal processing pixel by pixel in the most effective manner according to the area. This results in images that are natural looking with optimum clarity and sharpness. The EXTENDED option of DMC-GF3 enables you to print natural looking shots on a large size.
