Overview
The SIGMA DG HSM I A Lens has been redesigned and reengineered to set a new standard for photography experience. This camera lens is a pro level performer for shooting everything including portrait photography, landscape photography, studio photography and street photography. A Hyper Sonic Motor (HSM) ensures quiet, smooth and accurate autofocusing and paired with Special Low Dispersion (SLD) glass and Super Multi-Layer coating. The Sigma lens is the new exceptional standard. Brought to you from the house of Sigma, this lens is now available online for purchase only on Snapdeal.
Type of Lens
The SIGMA DG HSM I A Lens is a standard lens. Standard lenses make great general-purpose lenses, and can be used to photograph everything from close-up portraits to landscapes. They tend to be very "fast" lenses (i.e. they have a wide aperture), making them great for indoor and low-light photography. This SIGMA lens produces images whose perspective is very similar to that seen by the human eye. This gives their photos a pleasing, natural feel, and helps focus attention on the subject, rather than distracting the viewer with an unusually distorted image.
Lens Best Suited For Travel, Wedding & Events, Portrait Photography
The SIGMA DG HSM I A Lens can be used for a wide range of shots, and tend to be cheap and fast, making them well suited for indoor as well as outdoor environments. Standard lenses are sadly not nearly as common as they once were, but they still make an excellent addition to any photographer's kit. Because of their ability to accurately reproduce a scene, standard lenses are an excellent choice for photographing people. They are particularly good when shooting candid photos, where you want to include some surrounding scenery to put the subject in context.
L-Series Lens
Sigma announced a reorganization of its lens lineup into three categories - 'Contemporary' covering lightweight, flexible zooms, 'Sports' for larger telephoto lenses, and 'Art' for a wide range of optics aimed at serious photographers, including ultra-wide angles, macros and fast primes. At the same time the company announced three new lenses, one in each class, with the SIGMA DG HSM I A – NIKON as the first release in the Art category.
Aperture
The SIGMA DG HSM I A Lens has a large aperture of 1.4. 13 elements in 8 groups allow for unsurpassed performance even at wide apertures and close-up photography is easily managed with a minimum focusing distance of 40cm. It has an incredible focal point sharpness when wide open.
Compatible Camera
Designed to deliver the ultimate in performance on full-frame digital SLRs, SIGMA DG lenses also bring out the best in 35 mm SLR film cameras and APS-C size DSLRs. It also pairs well with Pairs well with Pro-Level DSLR’s.
