Synopsis
The Boys In The Boat is a thrilling true story about a boy who was discarded by his family and had to find his own way of living. He then turned himself towards rowing in the backwaters so as to survive. He met eight others on his way of life who had equally struggled in their lives and they all formed a oar rowing team to represent the United States in the 1936 Olympics which was about to be held in Berlin. These boys were all from lower middle class and had to face a lot to earn a living.
The other side of the story narrates how Hitler had ordered to beautify the venues of this Olympics and construct luxurious stadiums for the games to take place. The book also narrated the cruelty of Nazis against the Jews and how things were veiled under disguise before the games.
The plot of the story narrates both the sides of the story and shows how the life of these boys changed after this win. Rowing as sports was very famous during that time and these boys became national heroes and they were proud of this accomplishment.
