Synopsis
UGC NET examination is conducted by the National Educational Testing Bureau of University Grants Commission. This test establishes the eligibility of the candidate for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) award and lectureship. This examination consists of three tests.
UGC NET first paper is a general paper common for candidates of all subjects. It is common and compulsory for all subjects and must be cleared to be eligible for further evaluation of Paper II and III. There are 60 NET Paper I Multiple Choice Questions out of which 50 questions are to be answered.
U.G.C.-NET/JRF/SET Teaching & Research Aptitude (General Paper-1) is authored by Dr Lal and the editorial board of Pratiyogita Darpan which is the leading magazine for competitive exams in India. It covers the syllabus of General paper -1 well. This paper covers the following topics -Teaching aptitude, Research aptitude, Communication, Reasoning (Including Mathematical and Logical Reasoning), Data Interpretations, Reading Comprehension , Information and Communication Technology, People and Environment and Higher Education System.
Previous years’ question papers are included along with their solutions. A large number of questions in relevant topics have been chosen. This will help the aspirant to gain a good insight into the pattern of the examination and also the level to which preparation needs to done. UGC NET/JRF / SET - Teaching and Research aptitude is very useful for candidates appearing for other competitive exams like various State Eligibility Tests as well.
