Very good camera for learners. Picture quality is good and user friendly too. Probably the best one at this price.
The image quality is ok. battery life is worst.Fully charged batteries hardly last for 1 hour.Better go for Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H100 Comes within same range with best image quality. The free product offered are also below standards.

best product you may get for this price, This is Bridge camera so Auto mode will not work all the time, for the best shoot you need to play with setting's a little. Note : The product has old firmware which is 1.00 you can upgrade your firmware to 1.01 from (upgrade is simple and easy) http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/software/firmware/s/finepix_s2900_series/index.html those says negative review on this model then please buy a higher DSLR camera if you can afford, You get what you pay for,
Bought it with high expectations,but sadly my nikon coolpix digicam performs way better, though this fujifilm s2980 is twice as expensive,still it was not even at par with my nikon,that said,clearly its a waste of ones time & money.
