Can we talk with the cordless phone when power is off?

No you can't!

YES YOU CAN but there is a limitation. When you are on a call and power goes off the call gets disconnected When the there is no power at Base, you have to press the off button on the phone and place it on the base, base receives power from the phone and then you can make calls. Loud speaker of the phone gets activated. Privacy is a major concern and there is no ear phone jack so that you can place the phone on the base and use the headset to talk.

You cannot dial or receive calls when power is off...without power, phone will be dead
