i am having 15.6 inch laptop which is about 2.5 kg in weight so will this be a good option for me ? i read in the comments above its flimsy..it's correct? what all is covered under warranty? on-sight or off -sight warranty?

I find it perfectly good for my 15 inch laptop which must also be as heavy as yours is. This is the second my buddy i'm buying and I find it very well suited for me. The only problem would be sliding it perpendicular to the base in which case, if the floor in not smooth it might fold inwards, but that's not too much of a problem; I'm mentioning this just so that you know exactly what you are buying. I'm pretty satisfied with the product overall and I personally think it is very versatile. At the end of the day it's your call.

I bought this stand a month ago. I think 15.6inch laptop with 2.5kg wait should not be any problem for this stand. It is a lightweight but sturdy stand.

Its quite sturdy and is not flimsy at all, good product and yes its good enough for 15.6 inch laptop
