i bought this VX version but i received DM version. VX is for survalence camera DVR where you keep it on continuosly and where random access is not a factor. DM and DL(green) is for Desktop and home usage. I received DM series, which failed within week time. I couldn't send it back and ask for new one because i open the package after week time. I had to send it for warranty. I'm really disappointed with seagate these days, they don't build reliable drive. sometime works great sometime it fail in no time. Same is true for WD hdd. price you pay for Monopoly or doupoly and virtual monopoly and doupoly. I still remember HDD price circa 2011, when i purchase 2TB drive for less than 4k. They have successfully inflated price for more than 3 years now.
