I have purchased this and I found it to be very well. The USB 3.0 is generally lightning speed when you are copying data through a USB 3.0 port. A highly recommended product for your data product. I already have another Western Digital extenal HDD which is more than 2 years old and still performing at its zenith

Transfer speed 1mbps........ pathetic....... Connectivity to pc 20 % chances....... Detection by pc 1 in 15 chances...... Cable is short that and have to place on cpu Got hot in 1 hour but it may be normal as per usb devices. Caching mode is okay in HDD setting option and manage to give a speed of 10 mbps but still you have to handle it with care chances of data lost seems to high. Product delivered is also not as per mention here. Although It's good to backup movies on HDD rather than on DVD's

good storage space

Received in good packing in expected time.Snapdeal has given the product at best price.I put it to immediate use and found data transfer rate is good.I loaded with 500 GB data.Am previously using other drives of Seagate & Toshiba and comparatively i found that transfered data is fragmented more at nearly 60% where as those brands data fragmentation is found much lesser.Except this observation the drive performance is found ok as of now.Any way one has to see the performance for some long time before certifying products like this.But WD elements is one of the top brands.So i gave 4*.
