This is a best scanner ever. Simply because it doesn't require a computer so this means this is outdate or age free product. Make makes it even more special is the fact it users 2 AA batteries to power up unlike other portable scanners which have inbult battery which would reach end of life in few years and cannot be replaced sure enough because the model would most likely be replaced by a new product. The out of dock scan sure does take some getting used to but the angles can be adjusted with the software provided or even basic windows mspaint. But to be honest I haven't really haven't used the provided software :P You can scan in PDF and JPEG file format. Scanning PAN CARD, VOTER ID CARD etc with similar thickness is easily possible through the docking station as well as via the Wand as Avision calls it. Wished that had also provided a hard travel case in the box. Other wise everything else is simply perfect. One Important point is that, we should avoid touching the lense which scans the document which would cause unclear image, if the sense is covered with grease or dirt. Fortunately they have also provided a cleaning cloth, but it is best to hold the Wand on the top half rather than the bottom half and try and keep it on clean surface or on paper or newspaper after use or directly inside the carry case for those who have purchased just the Wand without the docking station. Surprisingly not many people are aware of this product and famous gadget reviews in India haven't reviewed this awesome product.

This is a very nice, compact scanner that can be easily carried around. The only feature missing is recharging of batteries in the scanner, just now batteries have to be charged in the bundled external charger.

This is an amazing product. Many people don't have idea that a hand scanner can work so perfectly.

Good product for this price. Product quality & delivery is excellent. But photo scanned output is not up to the expectation. Any how, over all it's good product. I recommend this product.

Very easy and handy for all types of docs n photos

I'm extremely happy with this product for a lot of reasons. 1) It's easy to setup and use. 2) It's well constructed so will last frequent use. 3) Scan quality is very good for a portable device. 4) Did I mention it is easy to use? 5) They supply everything you require to use this product - 4GB SD Card - Energizer rechargeable batteries (2 x AA) - Energizer battery charger - All necessary cables - Software on CD and on SD Card - Cleaning cloth - Carry bag Seriously, who does that? In this day when you need to buy every accessory separately or pay a premium price, these guys include everything in to the package at a price point that's comparable to others who expect you to buy everything else. Asides from a product that works well, you get everything you need in the box.
