Very much disappointed

The bass is not at all good. The worst experience I have ever had with speakers. Bass of my Sony 2.1 is far better than this product.

Could have been Better

Lot of mixed reviews out there but the fact is if you are looking for thumping Bass and high sound levels for a room size of 10*15, it will be more than enough. As far as sound clarity/quality is concerned, not the best ones. Rear speakers will always sound less whatever changes you do. Not the most intelligent 5.1 and you will find it hard to get actual 5.1 out of it as it has no decoders inbuilt and the only option to connect is through RCA connectors. For those who are looking for desktop/laptop speakers to watch movies with effects, make sure you have an inbuilt or external sound card with you else you can enjoy 2.1. For those who are looking for extra clarity and perfection in music, better buy a 2.1 within the same range.

F&D 6000U - Above average

I was looking for a basic 5.1 sound system with a budget around 8-9k. Saw 7-8 different models in this price range in all the leading multibrand electronic stores. Was getting Philips DSP75U for about 6k. But I felt the sound to be too loud compared to the music. Looks-wise it is better than this F&D. After considering factors like music quality, speaker & sub-woofer size, looks, options on the remote, quality of the speakers, wires etc., I zeroed on F&D 6000U. Have been using it for the last 2 months now. It is definitely above average when it comes to the quality of music it delivers but still I feel given the woofer size, bass could have been more.

heart thumping bass

I would recommend to Al for buying this who wants to buy a home theater for heart thumping, great product on this price. Really It just defeat the Sony sda100 as it has great Bass even at high volume.
