I took this for my HD TV and it run out of box. Just one thing. It can not work with local HDMI extender. Try to put directly in HDMI port or use extender came with this device. My parents are now able to watch you tube videos on TV with this dongle. Thanks to google. It can also play local media to TV using Allcast application.

Excellent product if you have a tv with HDMI port & you want to make it stream internet content directly from your router.

You can cast youtube from iOS, screen from laptop and Android. Works like charm and at this price from Google with their continuing update. What more can you ask .
