As a studio musician I found these a bit on the hifi side, if you want something more accurate go for the shure Se235 around the same price, however for easy to use quick headphones these hifiman are not bad as they are very very small and easy to wear and still give a pretty good sound

Critically acclaimed in-ears from Hifiman has definitely set a new reference class for balanced and neutral sound signature. Beautifully detailed across the whole frequency range, these convey the midrange very intimately making vocals sound melodious nd sweet. Bass and treble distribution has been very artfully perfected. This is NOT a bass heavy set. The low end is measured and well defined. The highs are delicately rounded off at the peaks resulting in a pleasant and natural sound, yet the treble details are definitely present. Soundstage is above average and sufficiently open with excellent instrument separation. The overall signature feels surprisingly balanced even as it leans towards the warm side by a whisker. This to me is a great touch as there is no fatigue from extended listening nor any hint of sibilance. Final word: Collector's item and must have for those who take their music serious. BEST IN PRICE SEGMENT Word of advice: NOT for lovers of high energy bass or V-shaped sound.
