this phone has as issue that it the screen does not go inactive it always remain active no matter u keep timeout time to 15 sec plus the theme does not change even if we change the back cover P.S- may be some update can rectify it but as of now i m using my fone with WI-FI and no updates have been recieved will write a detailed review when these issues are rectified though phone is extremely royal and beautiful

great built quality, much more great os, but...........is it alternative to other OSs' in the market................let us see- >Android One entry(with 2yrs updates guarantee contract) >low cost Android phones entry-Xiaomi/Gionee/ZTE/Meizu/Lenovo/Huawei/One+/Oppo/Xonphone/Obi/Asus/Motorola etc. along with local companies already stable in 2,3 tier cities >Firefox OS's ultra low cost phones entry >Samsung's low cost Tizen OS phone(planning) >BB Z3 with 10.2 os(Android apps compatible)-another great alternative to Android in this segment >Microsoft's tie up with other manufacturers for low cost phones & rumours around tech world is that Win9 erases diffrences between vorious platforms(desktop/laptop/hybrid/tablet/phone/phablet) for ultimate usability i am not criticising this phone but suggesting the newbee for better future

I have been waiting from last year ever since this phone was annonced, and now i had the chance to own the phone and that too with warrenty. Price was really shocking as I was expecting anything above 25k. This is definitely worth buying. User interface is unique and different. Take a bit of time adjusting but after that its quite intuitive. Not recommended for people who use a lot of apps, but people coming from windows and ios won't miss much as basic features are all covered. Phone has a good built and feels nice to hold . Definitely worth buying.

8 MP Primary camera quality is worst I ever seen. Camera quality is very very poor......

Very very unique, awesome job by the Jolla team. Guts and talent to provide something totally different and very intuitive as you start using the phone. Thanks Snapdeal for getting this to India. Hope India supports the change.

this os is the best os i have ever seen

An epic device from the makers of the unique N9. Its unique design comes in line with the legendary Nokia N9. Sailfish OS is based on Mer and the Linux Kernel. For a dev, mods are in plenty through Warehouse. For a normal user it will be a fresh new feature rich experience which makes using a Smartphone fun again. Some of the core concepts of gesture based UI is relevant to MeeGo, so users of N9 have a reason to upgrade! ;) I, personally have been testing sailfish on both my N9 and Nexus 7 (let alone the bugs) and can clearly say, its the most fun filled fluid smartphone experience I have had. The device on whole is brilliant and with the fresh "The Other Half" makes it all that much better! Android apps support via alien-dalvik is provided for all those app hungry users! Although running dalvik does take up some charge, but a quick app to fix it exists which makes it more battery friendly. Another important note is the size of the device, as many have noticed people tend to switch to phablets which kinda looks a little eh, odd IMO, but this is sized perfectly. Overall one killer device! Few minor (S/W)cons exist but will consistently be dealt with updates by Jolla(as they always have)!

I didnt bought this phone, it looks good, but the configuration and performance seems to be low while compare to other phones in the market. Even at low cost there are many other phones available with good configuration like Quad-Core, 2GB RAM, etc. So Before buying this phone need to check and compare with other phones.
