I got this lens a week ago. I wanted a lens which could take really good portrait pictures and Also not expensive. The nikon AF-S NIKKOR 50mm f/1.8G gave me all what I wanted. I recommend this lens to anybody who does portrait photography. Best lens for its range.

If you're confused between 50mm 1.8g and 35mm 1.8g buy this one. We all are fans of bokeh and this one gives creamier bokeh then 35mm. if you're into street photography and portraits this is the lens for you. I'm in love with this lens.

I purchased this prime lens to capture my sons pictures.Those memories will never come back. I wanted to capture every moment we spent with him. This is a wonderful lens which captures every detail with the right exposure. You dont need to be an expert to use it. only basic knowledge of light and aperture is enough.

Hey Guys! I bought this lens before 2 weeks and now I am writing this review. I used this with my Nikon D3200 DSLR which is DX format Camera. According to my opinion this is a perfect lens for portrait photography, but you need a wide space enough to get full body, because it is fixed focus prime lens, actually >70mm on a DX body, so think about it before buy. In short space condition like a normal living room, I think 35mm is better option. And others pros and cons are following in my view: Pros: Nice bookeh excellent lowlight photography Less noisy picture Picture sharpness is great Awesome colour reproduction Cons: Plastic body Slow & Inappropriate focus Not well for macro focus

Purchased this for Candid Photography. It gave awesome outputs. Using it on Nikon D3100. Focus is superb. Also night photography is superb. No blur. No noise.
