Awesome telescope

I bought this Product a couple of months back. When I got this telescope I was very much happy.this is a very awesome telescope at this price.I have seex many things with this like, moon, jupiter and its four clearly visible moon, venus, saturnand most important the globle star cluster.I had this product and it is very easy to use.Magnification is very good and rabging is very accurate.Remember to set the finder scope parallel with the main body tube.Moon is very clearly visible with this and venus is also seen and jupiter and its great red spot very clearly but don't expect that you will get a very accuarate view with this and saturn is also visibl and I have seen saturn and its rings.Only the problem with is its erecting lens as when we use this we get a very dim image of planets and other objects. But moon is seen very clearly and deatails on it.Awesome product for begineers.Don't think anything and just buy this product and enjoy star grazing.

Protos Astronomical 76700

There is no mention of brand or anything. But anyways its quite good at this price range.Eyepiece of 20 mm,12.5 are good, barlow and erecting eyepiece are not up to the mark.Overall very satisfied as this is the first scope I bought.Moons surface can be seen in detail,I could spot Jupiter and 4 moons on the very first day. Also I found Saturn with its rings.Locking in particular position is difficult and finderscope is not very accurate even setup properly.Good as a begineer scope especially looking at the price tag. Also to mention packaging and transport was very good.Just chase darkness and clear sky and enjoy!

The product we received doesnt mention even a single word about PROTOS as described here. Even the box nor the equipment. Even the model number is F70076 as written on the box without any mention of brand. Not sure if it is the original PROTOS product. But anyways with the standard 20mm eyepiece we could see clearly moon. But with the Barlow, 1.5x magnifier supplied with the product it is very poorly visible. The erecter lens also gives a dim view of the subject. The tripod and other equipment seems to justify the price paid. There is significant paralax error between the telescope and guide eyepiece. Need to get used to it.

Quite good for a beginner

It is easy to assemble. Material is not of premium quality but is good enough. Locking it in a particular position is tough. Best practice is to keep tripod's legs far apart for proper support which is pretty helpful. Also At max magnification without barlow; there is a visible chromatic aberration. Although it did not affect viewing much. Might be a bigger issue with barlow. Also something that I learnt the hard way: the object needs to be placed at the bottom of the finder scope to be viewable because of the parallax between finderscope and main telescope body.

Is is amazing piece of begginner equipment provided you know how to use it. U can see jupiters moons, moon with exceptional detail and I also saw the orion nebula :D for a begginner it is the start ;)

Think and compare before purchasing.

Ranging and focusing is fine but the field of view is narrow. Moreover the image formed is unstable as it keeps shaking even due to very minute vibrations caused by winds. Although it is good for starters. Handling is easy.

GOOD FOR WHAT YOU ARE PAYING not for expert astronomy good for children tripod is very shacky you cannot focus objects very dim as very small mirror is not able to collect much light.
