This product does not suit in Sony family. It gives little larger sound than the TV. No bass, no surround sound.. Total waste of money.

Good Product with low price compared with other sound bars

I bought this product to supplement the sound from my 42" LG LCD TV. I already have a 20W Creative 2.1 sound system hooked up to my TV (10W subwoofer + 2x5W speakers). I thought this Sony 40W soundbar would enhance the voice frequencies. I find that the sony 40W soundbar produces far less sound than the 20W Creative laptop speakers! I wouldn't use this speaker as a substitute to your TV's in-built speakers because they also sound the same...
