- Had a samsung galaxy s 3 ( which after warrenty period ...dead) Got this (Black colour) as replacement... exelent value for money screen - very rich.. but samsung amoled better battery - samsung Better...xperia gives about 70% of Galaxy s3 ( use stamina mode always.. else ..too bad) reception - felt sony to be beter.. all media playable using MX player can side load Flash for browsing Camera far far exellent than samsung s3 supplied ear plugs are of exellent quality.. 2 gb ram and other hardware in general are far better than s3 no other phone have the combination of quad core processor , 2 gb ram , infra red remote,compact form, nfc, bluetooth 4 , 13 mb camera, hd cam - front n back ( both records 1080p), upgrade to Android OS v4.1.2 and u can use MicroSD card upto 64 gb, Fm radio ( many new block mobile miss last two) Overall good Value for money...

I bought this phone 5 days back & I'm loving the phone each moment I'm using it. Superb phone as i mentioned no.1 phone in the market now. At the initial stage i was totally confused between Z & ZL. And finally i decided to go for Xperia ZL. Even the shop owner also recommends to buy ZL only. And the worst thing, Sony is not at all giving any kind of advertisements for Xperia ZL. - When comparing to Z, ZL is more convenient phone to use, the only difference is its not waterproof & lots of extra features in ZL also like dedicated camera button, better ear speaker and loud speaker, IR remote, barometer sensor, attractive looks, less heating etc. No need of opening the flaps every time to connect headphones & charging pin. For waterproof Z is packed with flaps n all. - Xperia ZL is a Beautiful engineering as everyone get attracted, Black textured matte finish will give u more grip to hold in hands. The case which comes with this mobile is also too good, chrome finish will give u more class look & finish. As the phone using more than 75% of the front as screen its looking great, really that's a plus point for me to buy this phone. - As usual Sony showed again there Display clarity, Bravia Engine II does the job very well & 1080p 5" screen is awesome to use. I loves to watch videos & pics in this phone. - Headphone quality is also very good with deep bass & clarity. - About Camera, its good, but not that good as Nokia N8, Because i was a previous user of N8. Very poor detailing for the photos as its a 13 mp camera. Features are good like superior auto n all. - The only drawback which I'm feels is battery, Full usage of the phone will give u 10-12 hrs battery backup for heavy users. Of course u'll get one day for normal usage. But we cant give rest for such a cute phone. Standby mode is great, but when d display turns on its eating battery like anything. Maybe because of the 5" large screen & Android OS. The materials which used in ZL are of awesome quality All the above comments are only my personal opinion as per my usage.

Awesome Phone Better than Xperia Z Android 4.2.2 is awesome but has a little bugs. Hope an update soon. Slight heating when using to play games.

This phone really has cool looks and is compact too among other 5 inch screen phones. But There are a few lags which I observed since I have this phone and that are- 1.Battery Drain is sometimes very fast when you keep your screen on and that is because the screen is very bright and full HD. 2.Camera Pic. quality in low light areas is sometimes below than average. Very High Noise is observed in the Camera while using in low lights. But overall the phone is very nice and responsive except these two factors and gives a premium feel when you hold it in your hand.

The xperia zl is really the cool one..... Negative is that the sound quality when the phone is ringing is little bit low.... And performance wise it's best... And plz go far the black, as I did not like the white one not so attractive... The phone is compact and looks really compact with 5 inch full hd display... The pic quality is Best and camera an average and descent.. battery sufficient far one day average use... the front camera placed in the bottom is not so comfortable. Call quality is better compared to all other high end divide... Brousing is fast and with 434 ppi letter looks crispy...I am using this phone far 1 week I did not find any problem like lagging around its fast and easy to use... It just need an update to 4.2.2 to make it Best... one it really looks cool....zl is better that.z... Only one reason it's compact... And having.5 inch display..

Sony needs to improve on 2 thing which will keep them in par with competitors 1) better screen contrast and angle ratio, however still its not bad though, but still not in line with competitors. 2) unlike Samsung its very Vanilla Android, Sony need to add on new software features.

Got this phone two days ago. enjoyn every second with it. Its actually better than Xperia z. Sound gets muffled in xperia z. Also its a little compact than Z. Pros : * Great processing speed * Screen Looks sharp * IR Remote(which i personally use alot to handle both my set top box n tv) Cons : * Battery gets drained quickly.(With a lot gaming and chatting) * Had this problem of phone getting heated rapidly while playing Asphalt 7. havnt faced this problem in any other game i played(temple run,D-Day etc) Wish sony had given this phone the same preference they gave to Xperia Z. If anyone planning to buy Xperia Z, I would tell you to go with ZL.

This phone is solid. More solid and rugged than the Xperia Z. Its just too good.
