Good performance, awedome design, light weight

I bought this phone few weeks back and have been using it. I see there are lots of reviews that boasts about its Pros. I do agree with all of them. At the same time, one has to know the issues with very basic mobile functionality. Call Quality and Volume: I bought this phone few weeks back and have been using it.  I see there are lots of reviews that boasts about its Pros. I do agree with all of them. At the same time, one has to know the issues with very basic mobile functionality.  Call Quality and Volume: As few users have pointed, the Call quality is very average and the call volume is very low. Note that even after changing the Equalizer Settings that Sony provided, it doesn't help much. It is for sure that when you are out at a crowded place, You'll hardly hear a thing about what the other person on the call talk. Feeling so annoyed and perplexed at the muffled and very mediocre Ear Piece quality during calls. Every time I need to hook up the hands free to hear the person loud. I also hear the people on the other end mention they hardly hear anything from my end. The microphone quality is very average and it is such a disappointment.  Battery: Theoretically, a battery having 2300 mAh should work out for a day with 2G turned on. I could see that it drains out very swiftly with Auto Brightness and minimal Music Listening. I could use it only for 15 to 20 hours after a complete charge. Yes, it is true that it has got the faster processor with Quad Core which would consume more battery. However, It was my mistake to anticipate more juice out of a 2300 mAh battery. Also, there are few Sony Services, that keep running on the background eats up a lot of battery.  I think we can live with the issue with Battery in Xperia ZR but the Call Quality. A phone worth about 30K having such basic issues is not tolerable. I would be immensely happy if Sony rolls out a fix for this Ear Piece issue and the issue with Call Quality SOOOONNNER Battery: Theoretically, a battery having 2300 mAh should work out for a day with 2G turned on. But what I found is that the Charging Cover keeps opening up without a reason. This is a great annoying thing and not sure what is the fault and what to be done. I think we can live with the issue with Battery in Xperia ZR but the Call Quality. A phone worth about 30K having such basic issues is not tolerable. Its a Stupid phone, badly designed. Bought it on 30th sep 2013 just a couple of days old, tried Underwater photography, came out and checked the phone for music, Loudspeakers went for a toss.. There is a small slot at the back of the phone for loudspeaker which dripped in water.. Opened the back cover to find water all over the speakers, (completely embarrassed within the crowd after showing off the underwater photography) kept the phone aside for a day to let water evaporate, speakers came back to normal but for that one day speakers were useless, audibility goes down by 90%.. Cant hear anything out of the phone and even if you do its completely distorted. And do not expect anything out of the service centre people (apparently Authorised) they don't care about your problem, after an hour of convincing them that this is a Genuine issue they actually logged a complaint about this problem, but that was just internal, the call centre guys didn't know about this issue because the service centre people didn't log a complaint with the sony complaint team. Tried writing to Sony directly as well but then LOL is what I got.. Point here is, the phone now is working fine but what if the same issue repeats and the speakers don't come back to life, no one is going to replace it leave alone the service centre guys. The only time my phone will ever touch water is in rains.. Forget Underwater... I do not recommend this phone, rather any phone from SONY. Bad Experience, Bad Phone, Bad Service.

For anyone who is having doubt whether to buy this one or not... I would just say go for it... No regrets at all..truly the best of Sony(all z series) ... Jus love it:-)

Overall Product is good but camera when you go into zoom mode, it works like a normal VGA camera with lot of noises. After few snaps, the mobile is heated and showing message that temperature is not conducive to take photos. I believe camera is a let down in Xperia ZR. Mobile is overpriced comparing the disadvantages. Should be ideally around 20K.

Cons:The charging chord is very small. Barring the above mentioned point there is no other con. Some think the secondary camera is just VGA but believe me the picture quality is considerably good. Biggest plus point for me is that it has user-removable battery.

Nothing much difference between Z & ZR Pros of Z over ZR. 1.ZR's Display is smaller than Z's 5inch. 2.But Z had 442ppi but ZR had only 319ppi. 3.Z had 1920 x 1080 but ZR had 720 x 1280 resolution 4.2MP front facing but ZR had 0.3MP. 5.16GB internal memory than ZR's 8GB. 6.Difference of 30 mah in battery which Z claims. Pros of ZR over Z 1.Ideal display size than mighty 5'..wonder how people are using plastic mega's which look monstrous while taking with someone. 2.IP55/58 than IP55/56 of Z's..so additional protection under water. 3.With the difference in display size, the battery works better with this smaller one ZR than Z. Again Z deserves those extra bucks for those additional features.... (1.k for ppi+1k for memory(Internal)+1k for size+1K for 2mp camera+1k for battery and the remaining for Katrina Kaif)...... One word--Sony does well in Music because its volume is on moderate level & ideal for ears rather than hTC's or plastics which may be harmful if raised to highest level...Not criticising but a personal experience.. Best product

Its been two week since I am using this awesome piece of engineering. No lags, flickering or any sort of problem. Battery back is also pretty good(problem i faced with my last android phone). Jelly bean is buttery smooth and works like charm. Only problem I faced is that you cannot move apps to sd card which is on since you will get 8 gb of internal storage. Snapper outs pretty sleek too
