I didn't thought the book will be so interesting.....but it has proved me totally wrong. When I started reading.....I got captured by it.....its a too good book. The language is very simple..does not need any dictionary beside. I loved all three of the Shiva triolpgy. Amish rocks.
Good One
his is SECOND part of the series(Shiva Triology) starts from Immortals of Meluha, Secret of Nagas, and Oath of Vayuputras. One has to through all to get the mystery revealed. Mr Amish Tripathi (Author of the series) is undoubtedly can be called Paulo Cohelo of India.. Awesome writing, great selection of words, beautiful expressions.. All these will take one closer to SHIVA (Lord Shiva)in a very modern but realistic manner. Must read.. One can buy this in HINDI (and even in other Indian Languages). It can be bought ad SD single or in set of the series. Also a good discount one can find here. Great writing...
This book is just awesome and definitely a page turner. It will keep you hooked to itself until you finish it! Amish deserves applause!
goodbook must go
in a good conditions............excellent....
..especially in the Indian context. There is a very thin line between Mythological fiction and fantasy fiction - probably best defined by whether the characters have been a part of folklore or not. This book is so different about what I knew about the "Mahadev" but still very very captivating. I am refusing to read the last part of the series - it will end the yearning that I have :) There are very few good books that have been written on the Indian Mythological fiction scene. Which is surprising given the rich Indian mythology.
A good sequel to The Immortals of Meluha. A work of fiction that has been researched and kept in line with mythology and legend but also has surprising twists and turns. Shiva is omnipresent and omnipotent, but Amish has made it appear that the same Divine Soul reincarnates over and over whenever evil is about to triumph over good. The Hindu philosophy of Avatars incarnating in times of extreme danger to Dharma, when the balance of good and evil is heavily listing towards evil - this has been very beautifully demonstrated. Shiva, whom Ram worshiped is now shown as coming after Ram's advent and in turn, Shiva worships Ram. To my mind this is what I found most compelling and charming about the book. Read without making judgements about what is known, and you will absorb the essence of Shiva, otherwise you will just get bogged down in discrepancies and will not enjoy the book as it should be enjoyed
Good
