I have read number of negative comment about this on snapdeal reviews.I have been using it last two weeks and didn't face any issue. Some facts- 1)There is no confusion and comes with lifetime maps(you can have upto 4 updates in a year from tomtom). 2)As soon as you get the device, try upgrading the maps before using it .New map have many correction and have better map coverage. 3)There are some complain saying no gps signal . Even, I was having issue when I switched on device in my room. But after trying outdoor, issue got resolved. Pros 1) Excellent map coverage 2) Good Touch Screen (at this proce) 3) Voice assistance in regional language as well. 4) Searching location and POI is easy. 5) Excellent built quality. 6) Comes with bluetooth connectivity which is again excellent. 7) Excellent response time. Cons 1) No Media Support.

It works well with limited use in pune city but entering destination address is too difficult..Google maps automatically brings any address with search.Tom Tom really struggles and many times it fails to search correct destination point or it takes too long...it is a big disadvantage.

Seems Refurbished or Used.

Though the TomTom Device is good, the product delivered seem to be refurbished, product seems to be Old or Used when I opened it, this is the problem with Snapdeal, they don't verify the Sellers & I do not want to Initiate long procedure of Return Policy which happened on my previous purchase On SNAPDEAL , thus I am keeping the product. And Secondly, kindly Improve the delivery of the product, its the slowest compared to Flip####,AMAZ##

google maps are better

not at all worth it...firstly there are issues in connecting to gps, even it gets connected then there is problem with screen....it belongs to 90s era you have to press hard to select....then comes the serious issue, it does not select places on basis of your input, rather it has its own predefined location names/addresses...another serious issue you have to plan your route 10 minutes before your depature as it is very slow due to poor hardware/software.....nd yes one more it can't recognize your speech as it can't understand your accent bottomline...please stick to your google maps or rather download maps via google play store of any choice mapmyindia/ sigic....anything whatever you want do take dis review seriously else you will end up paying hefty amount for dis 3rd class product

Not a good product
by Mahendra on Nov 02, 2014

The device is terribly slow. Keyboard is very slow, hence you land up making spelling mistakes. The device do not help you with "Did you mean xxx?" Or it do not suggest alternatives to what you are searching. It simply says "Not found" For example , Chandigarh was not found due to spelling entered was Chandigadh. The device shows your vehicle off the road by 500 meters sometimes and this situation never recovers untill you take a next turn. The device have a poor sense of finding alternate route. Not easy to create your own route. This looks like old generation device. There are other software issues. Every time the device powers up, it ask you whether you want to share the location and travel data with TOMTOM for betterment of the product? You have to select yes or no. This happens everytime when you stop the vehicle and start again. Everytime you need to streach your arm to device to select Yes. There is no default setting for this. The menus and options are not easy to find. TOMTOM should learn something about User friendly interface menu. It is not very easy to select variuos destinations en-route. The hotels/gas stations etc information on the way is outdated. I selected a CCD on the way. The device took me to a CCD which never existed.

Very Useful In-Car GPS for its Price!
by The Wayward Traveller on Oct 09, 2014

I'm a solo traveller, usually taking my trusty Santro to places unknown. I had heard about GPS but wasn't sure about it's usage as I have been managing with rolling down my window and asking for directions. It didn't feel safe at times, being a woman. I am using this product since July last year and I must say.. it is pretty neat. Voice guidance along with in depth coverage makes this product worth every rupee. Pros: Good built quality In-car charger is there for unlimited battery usage Split Screen Option for flyovers Point of Interest (Alerts about Petrol Pumps, Hotels, Restaurants) Bluetooth Connectivity (Flashes NAME on the screen) Cons: Map coverage missing for remote areas (Well, even google doesn't get there, so not really that much of a cons) Voice Command many at time fails to recognize the command If you travel alone, want to experience the freedom, a car GPS is a must.
