I am unable to use it with my HP windows 8.1 (64 bit) laptop. The user manual says that some laptops may be unable to provide the provide needed for the external disk through the USB, for which they have recommended using the USB -Y cable to connect to 2 USB ports on the laptop. This USB-Y cable was not provided in the kit, and now I have to run around searching for the USB-Y cable. I cannot rate the product as of now, but a big zero because the company has not provided the necessary accessories with the kit
