perfect hdd for storage.......runs cool and quiet as a result will surely last longer but speed is not great but u doont need great speed on storage drives and also wd service is very good...u get doorstep hasslefree service......these drives are better than seagate drives surely......seagate drives fail very soon....every single seagate drives I own failed within 2 yrs but not a single wd drives i own failed.. this green drive (WD10EARS-00Y5B1) I purchased 5 yrs ago failed after 6 yrs so I always trust green drives for storage......so if you want a secondary storage drive to store all your pictures movies games and other things this is the best drive availabe.....but dont use this drives for NAS in defaullt setting it will fail

LOOKS FINE NO PROBLEM. IT WS NT 7200 RPM. MANY DEALER WILL TELL U IT WAS 7200 RPM. CARE FULL B4 BUYING.

This review is not about the drive, its about how it was shipped. I had ordered two of these for my RAID storage. I was surprised to see the package when it arrived; Both the drives were wrapped using a bubble wrap and put in a Snapdeal brand plastic bag without any hard covering around it! Luckily, one is working and the other is out for replacement.
