Don't buy this HDD it will not last long and may destroy your expensive data.My HDD stops working in 15 minutes

I had issues with the hard disk sent to replacement got a new re-certified WD HD! So i am happy!

WD has always been my First preference since the time i started using computers. thats sonce last 12-14 years. i had this drive and i am very happy with it. many people say its a slow HDD and will lag or stop or will givce slow performance , then my ANSWER is NO its not so. the Drive is made for saving power and yet give a better performance. the intellipower technology runs the drive at certain speed depending upon the load and amount of performance you want from it. this drive for me went upto 153 MBPS reads speed and 145 MBPS WRITE SPEED.also it works very well. and saves lot of power when you dont want it to work or not using it. it slowly parks the head and yet keep it running but at slow speed but once you access the HDD it kicks up and ready to use at good speed. i do not reccomend using this drive as you Primary OS Drive. you can always use it as Secondary as the Head parking feature will be a Big hurdel here as a OS has to run thoughout the time you ae running the windows

Excellent drive. Installed on my 4 year old system without a hitch. I would recommend it for backup storage. Not particularly fast, esp. for OS drive.

Good for mass storing storage. Dump it and forget it. Silent workhorse, runs at low temperature. Good for home use where you have to store your entire stuff at one place. True value for money.
