Description

Synopsis
Even though Einstein had never visited India, it is a pleasant surprise to note that he had very close relations with several Indians and Indian culture. The shaping of this relation started with the Bose - Einstein equations when young scientist Satyendra Nath Bose described light particles through statistical models. Because of Einstein's involvement in political, humanitarian and academic projects across the world, his interaction with Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore and Jawaharlal Nehru was but natural. He had threadbare discussion with Gurudev Rabindranth Tagore on the issues like beauty and faith. Albert Einstein was a German-born theoretical physicist. He developed the general theory of relativity, one of the two pillars of modern physics (alongside quantum mechanics). Einstein's work is also known for its influence on the philosophy of science.[4][5] Einstein is best known in popular culture for his mass-energy equivalence formula E = mc2 (which has been dubbed "the world's most famous equation").[6] He received the 1921 Nobel Prize in Physics for his "services to theoretical physics", in particular his discovery of the law of the photoelectric effect, a pivotal step in the evolution of quantum theory. This book is a must read.
