Synopsis

This Vol. 20 of the Asterix Series is set in 50 BC circa to Corsica. The atmosphere is of vendetta, vengeance fuelled by misplaced, fierce sense of honour and pride. The setting is of intrigue, resistance, fighting, and planning. Our hero Asterix and his bosom friend Obelix have a chance meeting with Bonneywasawarriorwayayix. He is the Corsican Chieftain and their ally, erstwhile a prisoner of Roman Statesman Julius Caesar. They join forces against the diabolical and deceitful plans of highly corrupt Praetor Perfidius. The readers can never have enough of the humorous and witty dialogues and banter complete with the funny episodes, the signature of these books. This book being a classic never disappoints. Comical elements though aplenty are in reality loaded with subtle nuances and innuendoes.
