Nominated for seven awards, Far Cry 3 which also received two Game Developer's Choice Awards for Best Visual Arts and Best Technology was published by Ubisoft. According to Eurogamer, this game is the best thing about open world gaming followed by many positive reviews to go. An open world first-person shooter video game, Far Cry 3 is set on a tropical Island between the Indian and Pacific Oceans where a vacation goes really bad for protagonist Jason Brody who must save his friends kidnapped by pirates.
Synopsis & Feautures:
Far Cry 3 is an interesting video game featuring first-person shooter as well as role-play game elements (experience points, skill trees and a crafting system). Taking cover behind objects to break enemies' lines of sight and take a peek around or even over cover and blind fire, the player can do it all. The player can even perform silent - takedowns by performing melee attacks from above, below or close behind. The story mode map, according to the game’s narrative director, is around ten times larger than previous instalments. Players have the opportunity to survey and plan out their attacks using stealth takedown combinations and also tag enemies with the camera. Simple system controls the equipment and as missions are completed, new items get unlocked to be purchased or crafted by Jason, using the pelts of various animals in the Island. For example: Unlocking a radio tower opens areas of the map and unlocks weapons in the shop for free. Players can collect skills with the experience of completing missions and killing enemies which are unlocked in three skill trees - the Spider, the Heron and the Shark. What’s interesting is that each skill tree upgrades different aspects of Jason's abilities. The Spider upgrades Jason’s stealth takedowns and hunting skills, Shark for assault takedowns and health, while the Heron upgrades long-range takedowns and mobility. The tattoo on Jason's forearm also grows as he collects more skills.
The game has a variety of side-quests featured for the player as he hunts for different wildlife species found on the Island all for upgrading purpose. It also has some rare hunts which the player must undertake to reach the highest level hunt upgrades.

After the below average Far Cry 2, this is the masterpiece from Ubisoft. Nothing to say about this game. Everything is awsome. This game definitely should be in your collection.
this game is really fun. its a little challenging but its fun at the same time.
What to say about it?
Read everywhere, only positive reviews.
After success of FarCry 1 and FarCry 2. Ubisoft instantly started to develop FarCry 3. But then they halted it for a longer period of time to create this 1 of a kind amazing game play. The game play is not only fun, you really can approach the enemy, the way you want to. Completely open world!!! Use your own tactics, like a Sniper, Silent Assassin or a voilent man like arnold with huge bangs!!! Choice is yours!!!
The story gets 5 stars, you are playing role of Jason Brody, who is trapped on an Island with pirates. Your job is to adapt the most impossible situation. Not only fight heartless monsters, but innocent animals too. Survive the jungle and become the beast. Save your own life and your captive friends too.
Music is 5 stars again. I listen to the music often on my cell phone. Its so great!
Actors. Wow!!! For the first time in my life, I have seen such open but yet mysterious characters. UBISoft did put a lot of details into the characters. Their acting is really top notch.
The superstar of this game is the Villian "Vaas"!!! Man Micheal Mondoe should get an oscar for his performance in this game!!!
Played this game 9 times in single player... Its sooo great!!!
Far Cry 3 is a first-person shooter, which also features role-playing game elements including experience points, skill trees, and a crafting system. The player has the ability to take cover behind objects to break enemies' lines of sight and also to peek around and over cover and blindfire.
The player also has the ability to perform silent "takedowns" by performing melee attacks from above, below, or close behind. The game's narrative director, Jason Vandenberghe, said that the story mode map is around ten times larger than in the game's previous installments. Players are given the ability to survey and plan out their attacks with stealth takedown combinations and also tag enemies with the camera in order to track their movement once they break the player's line of sight.
Equipment is controlled by a simple system. As missions are completed, new items are unlocked to be purchased or crafted by Jason, using the pelts of various animals around the island. As radio towers are unlocked, this opens areas of the map and unlocks weapons in the shop for free. As outposts of Vaas' pirate group are attacked and retaken, the vicinity around the outpost becomes safer, it also unlocks new side quests for that area.
Skills are collected by gaining experience from completing missions and killing enemies, and are unlocked in three skill trees, which correspond to the Spider, the Heron, and the Shark. Each skill tree upgrades different aspects of Jason's abilities, with the Spider upgrading his stealth takedowns and hunting skills, Shark for assault takedowns and health, with the Heron upgrading his long-range takedowns and mobility. As skills are collected, the tattoo on Jason's forearm grows which is made up of several different tribal designs resembling the three animal skill trees.
The game also includes a variety of side-quests. One such side-quest involves the player hunting the many different wildlife species on the island for upgrading purposes. There are even some rare hunts that the player must undertake to reach the highest level hunt upgrades. The rare hunts feature wildlife not typically found during normal play.
4)Satisfying character progression and upgrade system.
5)Ecology and unpredictable creatures make the world come alive.
Cons:1)A little repetitive.
3)Limp co-op mission design.
4)Some design quirks lead to minor frustrations.
