The Gitzo Series 5 6X MONOPOD 4-Section G-LOCK (GM5541) is compatible with both 1/4 Inch as well as 3/8 Inch locking mechanism. It features the Gitzo Safe Lock mechanism. Safe Lock is a special polymer that maximizes locking torque and equipment stabilisation. Used on the upper discs of tripods, monopods and heads as well as in applications where the equipment is rotated and screwed on to the support. It eliminates micro movements and vibration.
The Gitzo Series 5 6X MONOPOD 4-Section G-LOCK (GM5541) comes with a new Upper Disc called Power Disc. It is made of machined solid aluminium and features two locking screws: the first one locks the head and the second safely locks the disc to the column. It provides an extremely stable connection to the whole system. It also features an Anti-Leg Rotation System, which allows you to deploy the monopod very swiftly.
The Gitzo Series 5 6X MONOPOD 4-Section G-LOCK (GM5541) is made from Gitzo 6X, an advanced carbon fibre tube which ensures maximum structural strength rigidity and great vibration absorption properties. A high-density tube, the monopod is made of top quality ultra-thin 7 micro-metre thick carbon fibres.
