Harry Potter Schoolbooks: Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them / Quidditch Through The Ages
Summary Of The Book
Two delightful works by J.K Rowling, these appeared first in Harry potter and The Philosopher’s Stone as books that Harry Potter reads. While Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is Harry Potter’s textbook, Quidditch Through the Ages is a library book at Hogwarts.
Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them has been written under the pseudonym, Newt Scamander. The book details magizoology and provides a vivid description of magical creatures. In the Harry Potter world, it was a staple book for every wizard ever since it was published in 1927. The beasts have been listed out in an alphabetical order, along with the danger they pose to Muggles, or non-magic people. Some of these are more familiar to people, like unicorns while others like Mackled Malaclaws are not known of.
The book contains a Foreword by none other than Albus Dumbledore, Hogwart’s headmaster, followed by an introduction to beasts, the beasts in hiding, and classifications made by Ministry of Magic, as explained by Newt Scamander.
The second book in the boxed-set, Quidditch Through the Ages has been written under the pseudonym Kennilworthy Whisp. This is a detailed guidebook that talks specifically about Quidditch and is a must read for anyone who wishes to learn about the most popular sport of the magical world of Harry Potter.
This book also starts with a Foreword by Dumbledore, followed by expert writings on the flying broomstick and its evolution, the famous golden snitch, the ancient games and changes in Quidditch, and the famous Quidditch teams, amongst other things.
According to the premise, both the books are meant to be released to the world of non-magic people to raise money to help the needy around the world. They were written by J.K Rowling and came out in 2001.
These books are a must read for every Harry Potter fan who wishes to be transported to the universe of Potter and Hogwarts once again. It is almost as if the books are straight out of the library of Hogwarts. Written wonderfully, as is the trademark of Rowling, these books are bound to captivate the minds of children and adults alike.
