Model Structure of Wind Power Rice Mill. HOW WINDMILL RICE WORKS: Windmills are machine that harness the power and energy of the wind to turn a mill stone to crush grain. A Windmill comes in two basic types-horizontal axis or vertical axis machine. Most often horizontal axis windmill is seen. The blade and the hub rotate as air streams by. The shape of the blade "channels" the air, and creates region for higher and lower pressure that results in net force being applied to the blade, which cause it to turn. This rotational motion represents mechanical energy that will eventually drive the rod up and down and thus the grains below it can be grind or the husk from it can be remove. To run a windmill minimum 6 km/hour speed is necessary. In very strong winds, the windmill can be subjected to large stresses. To prevent damage, windmills are usually stopped in high wind condition to protect them from harm. The brake can stop the windmill motion. In our model by rotating the wheel manually the fan blade rotates, hence the rod of the rice mill moves up and down and the rice or other grains below it grinds or the husk is removed from it. The framework is made of Plastic Material and other handmade parts. This product is designed for a demonstration purpose and single use. Apply your creativity while assembling.
