I didnt order it online, I bought it at retail in September. I went for this Laptop for two reasons: my budget was restricted to 35,000 INR, and Lenovo..
I'm a college student, and like most of us, my priority was Gaming. I saw the specs of this laptop, and ofcourse it was the best available below 35k, sparing Acer. I was sceptical about the AMD chip but decided to go for it as I had huge trust on Lenovo.
The laptop looks great, its really really slim. The weight isn't bad either. Keys look cheap and non-durable, but after over 6 months of thrashing them, they're still flawless. Touchpad has some unexplained love for oil stains, but its function has not been affected yet. Screen's dull and looks ordinary, the webcam is placed well, and overall build of the laptop is great for something this cheap.
Windows 8 works like a wonder. The laptop is not slow (mind it, i didn't say its fast either). For everyday processing, the laptop is great. But then I used it for what I bought it for. Started with Assassins Creed series. AC1, 2, ACB, ACR worked flawless, except for some mild glitches. That was at low settings. ACR won't run in high, and lags in medium settings- reason being its configured to run with NVidia cards. AC3 & 4 lag like hell, even in low..! Dissappointing. Most of the games released in 2013-14 wont run in high settings. Witcher 2 never finished loading in Ultra settings.
And then, there is the heating problem that comes married with AMD. I dont know what they do with the chip, but this thing heats up quick. It doesnt go high to damaging temperatures often, but I do get a heat shutdown once-a-while.
And, the speakers are way too weak, too low on volume. Altogether, this laptop isn't meant for hard-core gamers. Its ok if you want to play old games, or try new ones at the lowest possible settings, but you cant enjoy true gaming experience with this. I expected a lot better performance from a 2GB card, but frankly, my room-mate got better frame rates with a 1GB NVidia card at same settings: Brand Matters! And that was quite embarassing too..
My advice would be to go for a 1GB NVidia card rather than this, and an Intel processor, rather than an AMD. You may find such a configuration in this range, but don't go for a poor maker like Acer, Samsung or HP. Yeah, HP too.
Another thing, the RAM has 800MB of it as "hardware reserved". I asked the Lenovo support guys and they say its required for running the graphics card. Which leaves me with just 3.2GB RAM as user-available, and a Graphics card that gives lower performance than one of half its strength. And sadly, the RAM is manufactured by Samsung, which scares me about its reliability. I hope you choose well, keeping all these facts in mind.
By the way, Lenovo's customer support is perfect: 10/10 for them.
